Marie - Co-founder & Teacher

Born and raised in Paris, Marie is a native French teacher with a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and French as a Foreign Language from Sorbonne Nouvelle University. Passionate about languages, grammar and authentic communication, she loves helping students understand not just how French works, but how it’s really spoken.

Before settling in Sydney, she taught French at the University of British Columbia Okanagan in Canada. Since moving to Australia, she has taught children, teenagers and adults across all levels.

Students appreciate her spontaneous teaching style, sharp grammar explanations and warm sense of humour, which make classes lively, engaging and approachable.

Favourite French word:
Zinzin - delightfully bonkers, but in an affectionate way.

Favourite pastry:
Kouign-amann - Brittany’s buttery, caramelised answer to the croissant.

Hidden talent:
Can flip crêpes one-handed without missing a beat.

Has an uncanny ability to remember tiny details about her students.

Nathalie - Co-founder & Teacher

Nathalie is passionate about helping students speak French with confidence in real-life situations - whether ordering pastries in Paris, preparing for the DELF, or simply enjoying conversation.

Originally from France, she has taught French in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia, working with teenagers and adults. She also worked for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a linguistic attachée and teacher trainer.

Students appreciate her warm personality, practical teaching style and sense of humour, which make classes both effective and enjoyable.

Favourite French word:
Chiner - the art of searching for hidden treasures in flea markets and vintage shops.

Favourite pastry:
Canelé - small, caramelised and proudly French.

Hidden talent:
Can recommend a French wine for almost any mood or occasion.

Rarely teaches without heels, even online.

Louise - Teacher

Meet Louise, a native French teacher born and raised in France. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, Teaching and Training (MEEF) from the University of Orléans and previously worked as a primary school teacher in France.

Warm, patient and passionate about languages, Louise believes that learning French should feel both engaging and empowering. Her lessons combine structure, encouragement and cultural discovery, helping students build confidence naturally while enjoying the process.

Curious about the world and other cultures, she loves creating meaningful connections through language and tailoring each lesson to her students’ personalities, goals and learning styles. Whether teaching children, teenagers or adult beginners, Louise brings a calm and supportive energy that helps students feel at ease from the very first lesson.

Outside the classroom, Louise enjoys swimming, horse riding and spending time with animals.

Océane - Teacher

Meet Océane, a native French teacher born and raised in Poitiers, France. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, Teaching and Training (MEEF) from the University of Paris-Saclay and previously worked as a primary school teacher in France.

Passionate about languages and human connection, Océane believes that learning French is above all about communication, confidence and cultural exchange. Her lessons are interactive, supportive and carefully tailored to each student’s personality, interests and goals, helping learners feel comfortable expressing themselves from the very beginning.

With a warm and encouraging teaching style, she creates a relaxed environment where students can ask questions freely, build confidence naturally and enjoy learning at their own pace. Curious and open-minded, Océane loves meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing meaningful conversations about culture, experiences and everyday life.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys art, nature and sewing, and often brings creativity and authenticity into her teaching approach.

Loves sewing, and knows that a badly threaded bobbin can test anyone’s emotional stability.

Nina - Teacher

Originally from Nice, Nina is a passionate French teacher who loves sharing her language and culture. She has taught French in France and Canada to adults and teenagers, in private lessons and group classes. Her lessons are dynamic, personalised, and full of good vibes, because learning should be fun!

Certified in teaching French as a foreign language, she creates a warm and supportive space where students can grow. She adapts her lessons to fit each student’s needs, making sure everyone feels confident and motivated. Thanks to her positive energy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills, she quickly helps students feel confident and comfortable speaking French.
Passionate about travel, reading, and culture, Nina loves bringing authentic aspects of French life into her lessons through a modern, communicative, and supportive approach.

Libellule - light, sunlit, and drifting through the lavender air of southern France.

Pain au chocolat - simple, delicious, and a little taste of France in every bite.
